Dover NH’s BLUE PLUTOS sent us some tunes awhile back and I’m happy to have recently uncovered them. It’s part spacey garage rock, part hazy Ween-esque dream pop, a delightful combo. The layers of vocals and acoustic guitars over pretty minimal, metronomic percussion is really doing it for me right now. They step it up with intensity at times but for the most part this record, available for free download on bandcamp, is a serious chiller with hooks to remember. Hope to have these New England power popsters down to Boston sometime soon!
