If you find yourself looking to slip away into a better, more stable universe or to dissociate completely from our own, look into sinking your body and indeed your life-force into this release. “Revisionist History” is an icy, sterilized sound-world filled with droning loops and the detail-driven use of spacious, alien samples. It is at once upsetting and apocalyptic in nature and then again incredibly comforting and focused. It sounds to me like a depiction of some great nuclear disaster, the meltdown and then the deep hibernation that would follow. It is a story of destruction and the inevitable new life springing up. It could be a cryogenic chamber, a place you could go and fall asleep protected. Until a future that is brighter and more hopeful arrives.
