Doug Tuttle – “It Calls On Me”

Boston area psych pop mainstay DOUG TUTTLE strikes back with “It Calls On Me”, an early “single” from his forthcoming sophomore record on Chicago’s rock saving label TROUBLE IN MIND.

The record is also called IT CALLS ON ME, and it is full of the gentle, slightly burnt psych pop that seems to pour forth from Tuttle (who was also of course the main force behind the band MOSS among others).

This lead “single” is a heaven for folks who like their jangle pop 60s flavored, 12-strings ring, and bass thumps all with a big nod to the likes of the Byrds and their lesser known ilk which Doug T. is an unabashed fan of.  and catch that laser beam guitar fuzz tone. Sounds amazing, and is probably the product of one of Tuttle’s own MID-FI ELECTRONICS pedals.

Catch the release show for the new record @ Lilypad in Inman Sq. on 2/27.
