DOOMSDAY STUDENT. I shouldn’t have to say it anymore, but you know these freak men from other bands like Arab on Radar, and Athletic Automaton. They’ve been on this DOOMSDAY STUDENT mission for a number of years now, and it has always borne nasty, delicious, ear piercing, crypto-lyric fruit. The men from Providence now present to us a “single” from their forthcoming THREEONEG RECORDS release which is to be called A SELF HELP TRAGEDY. “Angry Christmas” is the name of the song, and there is a wild ass video to go with it from none other than LUKE BOGGIA (he also of Providence). The song itself is a slowly melting thing, thick with guitar riffs from hell, singer Eric Paul’s words crawling like Killer Bob all over it. The chorus is just queasy. Great tune, menacingly fulfilling expectations. Boggia’s video for this mid-tempo creep is filled with disgusting animated humans being disgusting in the new ways that technology has allowed them to be. Great audio visual match. Looking forward to that new album, and guess what else?!
