Out west in San Francisco lives CODY ALAN, a reclusive producer of some interesting music. This piece “Heart Like a Rabbit” is an achingly beautiful example of one of his more electro-dubby house numbers. I mightn’t a found it except I’m a fan of the music video’s animator, Philly’s ANTHONY FRANCISCO SCHEPPERD. His ultra-trippy hand-drawn animation has graced music videos for a diverse range of acts, from hip-hop/IDM producer Blockhead to Groove Metal’s Five Finger Death Punch. Here, you may pick up a distinct Donnie Darko vibe, but search deeper my friends; There’s more down this rabbit hole than meets the eye.
