Mexican weird punk duo XYX have released records on SS RECORDS as well as their own NENE RECORDS. A drum and bass duo with heaps of female yelp on top, the sound here veers much closer to a punk/post-punk thing rather than noise rock. Bass fuzz and reverbed to hell vocals fuel the groove, the simple, honest, sneering groove. How often simplicity wins out.
