Beach Toys: they may be just a letter off from a certain formative California pop group, but they have a sound all their own. This psych-pop band from Cambridge features a slew of local music scene vets, including members of Earthquake Party and Pretty and Nice, and their experience shows in their musical acumen on “I Can’t Find It.” Not content to stick with a sweet, sweeping melody, the uptempo but subtly melancholy song is drenched with just the right amount of piano, organ, and fuzz. It’s the perfect song for a late afternoon drive home from the beach.
