Ear bashing and fresh from the (Melbourne, Victoria, AUS) field real deal punk rock. AUSMUTEANTS have got it. Chugging along, post-punk angles jutting out here and there, sounding a bit like some more famous punks from their land, and like those punk bands from the first wave (some UK, some US) who crafted noise that pointed toward future post-punk sounds from the get go. These guys don’t shy from melody either which I always appreciate from a punk band. They are who they are. The garage rock & punk record label wonder that is Memphis’ GONER RECORDS just re-released the band’s latest record AMUSEMENTS which was originally released by AARGHT RECORDS some time last year. Courtesy of GONER it would seem we now get the video for “No Motivation”, to be sure a track from AMUSEMENTS. In the vid directed by Edward Hartely there’s gore and cult problems revolving around intestinal sunglasses to be had, all over the bouncing beat, barked vocals, and serpentine riff thrown down by the four AUSMUTEANTS.

AMUSEMENTS is the 2nd full length from AUSMUTEANTS. It also follows a couple 7″s, released on other Australian labels of favor like ANTI FADE RECORDS, and HEINOUS ANUS, which put out that GHASTLY SPATS record a ways back.
