A few weeks back Boston Hassle hosted three great bands Ausmuteants, Longings, and Phantom Rides at the Whitehaus. Phantom Rides sliced the cake with Chris’s furiously meticulous drumming over twin female vocals. This was not my first time seeing the trio they are pillars in the Boston scene and always provide a crazy adrenaline rush for me. Longings cracked in second with their signature style of post punk. Female vocals fit very well into the three piece who are also locals in the area. Headliner for the night was Ausmuteants from the great country of Australia. They got the audience running rampant with their 4 piece style of punk put over gnarly synth lines. They sung about pornography and other things bottom line: THEY FUCKING ROCKED.
