Following up their EP from 2014, Arms Race returns with their debut LP, New Wave Of British Hardcore, co-released by Painkiller Records and La Vida Es Un Mus. Hitting the UK scene a couple years ago with an already powerful sound, NWOBH has only upped the ante by giving us one of the most essential hardcore records of 2016. The band, comprised of members of Crown Court, Violent Reaction, Stab, and The Flex among, plays a punishing mix of 80s UK and US hardcore suffused with oi. Their sound takes influence from NYHC and bands like YDI as well as acts from across the pond like Chaos UK and Ultra Violent, but combines these elements together to make metallic oi-laced stompers. Arms Race makes music that sounds big and ugly. Tempo shifts abound, vocals seethe. Play loud and be ready to mosh. Arms Race will be touring Europe in August with Violent Reaction. Keep your eyes posted for future US dates.
