You know what to do with/ to this. Milan’s AL DOUM & THE FARYDS released their latest record COSMIC LOVE earlier in 2014. Their blend of psychedelia on this record is a mellow one, featuring Arab musical influences, and the creation of a great deal of space among its auxiliary percussion and bird calls. This falls somewhere in between field recording nature psych like that created by THE JEWELED ANTLER COLLECTIVE and the storied Boston born loose improv psych heroics of SUNBURNED HAND OF THE MAN. One of the tracks, “Island”, practically rocks even! A psychedelic exercise in restraint, the almost ambient nature of COSMIC LOVE is sure to please a certain kind of psychedelic music fan. COSMIC LOVE is the band’s third full length album, and was released by BLACK SWEAT RECORDS.
