Those of you who have considered the Finnish to be generally happy people might want to think again– if The Achtungs‘ latest track is any indication, they’re “Full of Hate”. The title track from their forthcoming 7″ is a buzzy, grimy garage-punk thrasher that whizzes right by before you know it (it’s a minute and 37 seconds). This kickass little punk tune rocks out, and the high and slightly gritty vocals remind me of one of my favorite Scandinavian garage bands, Sweden’s Mando Diao.

Keep an eye out for Full of Hate from Total Punk records, and while you’re at it, keep The Achtungs on your radar. They haven’t gotten much buzz stateside yet, but my guess is that it’ll be coming soon. A basement show in Boston, pretty please??
