What do I need to say about Joe Pytka’s SPACE JAM? Really, doesn’t this movie just sell itself?
This is perhaps one of the best films to come out ever – even if you don’t like basketball. The premise is simple, evil Martians invade Earth to abduct the Looney Tunes. Ultimately, the winner of a game of basketball will determine whether or not our lovable friends Bugs Bunny, Daffy, and other favorites get to stay on the planet they call home.
But the Looney Tunes aren’t the most equipped to win such a game – especially when the Martians become giant monsters (their team is appropriately named the Monstars). So they do some abduction of their own to get Michael Jordan, THE Michael Jordan, to help them win.
The game is tough, the stakes are high, the comedy abounding – even with help from the last minute addition of cameo hero Bill Murray. Who will win the most amazing game in basketball history?
