After a relatively quiet winter, local JP pop duo SKINNY BONES are back in the swing of things. Boston Hassle are happy to premiere new single ‘Sieve.’Like the early shoots of green lurching towards spring, Sieve grows in surges in spurts, opening from a dreamy dalliance into a rolling stroll vibrant with harmonic life. Layers of field recording and effected percussion build upon a slicing guitar melody, gradually swelling with symphonic orchestration until it crashes high before receding into a gurgling stream chrunching with lost clips of found sound. The atmosphere is rich with a vibrancy that points to the groups trend towards incorporating field recordings and syncopated rhythms within a mellow pop structure.
