This month’s installment in the “Silents, Please” series features a rare classic, noteworthy for the scale of the production and the sophistication of the camerawork.  From the iconic shot scaling the sheer wall of a skyscraper to the BRAZIL-like bureaucratic office interiors, the on-location camera opens a window into the everyday life of New York in the 1920s.  Live-accompaniment by Jeff Rapsis on organ.
