Somerville-via-Hungary artist ZOÁRD WELLS TYEKLÁR is a solid bud and big-time helper to us here at the Boston Hassle, and also to the local arts community at large. His prints and drawings show expressive line work and unique, raw figures that evoke elements of Keith Haring’s work with a perhaps darker vibe. He has also contributed heavily to our local music scene through his work on fliers such as the one for our Scorched Ear show just over a month ago.

Zoárd will soon be starting a 5-day residency at a printshop in Davis Square and is asking for some financial help to make his residency a complete success! Since graduating from MassArt in 2005, Zoárd’s been hard at work trying to make art his only full-time job, a commendable goal in these trying economic times.
