Dorchester Art Project presents the Institute of Affordable Art – an ongoing exhibition of art works for sale off the wall for $50 or under each. The project will launch this November with a special show in the gallery and hallway, and continue in the hallway into the future.

To submit your work, please fill out this form by Tuesday, November 13th.

Parameters for artwork submissions:

– everything from an individual artist must fit within 8 sq ft of wall space

– within that wall space artists are further limited to three items that are to be hung separately.

– each individual piece must be priced at $50 or less

Please note that DAP will add sales tax and retain 30% of the sale price.

Install will take place November 17-19, 2018 between noon and 9pm each day. All work must be brought to DAP (1486 Dorchester Avenue) within that time period.

The launch exhibition will be on view through the end of December. At that time, any work that has not been sold will either be moved into the ongoing hallway exhibit, placed in storage, or returned to the artist.

DAP is an active art and event space staffed by volunteers. We have security measures in place but ultimately work is displayed at the risk of the artist.
