It seems like we are getting mixed messages and misinformation from the federal and state government about what to do in times of crisis.
Personally, I believe there needs to be stronger measures taken to fight the spread of Covid-19 in Boston and all over the country. All non-essential businesses need to be closed and the workers put out of work need to be given economic stimulus.
This is not a time to be thinking about lost revenue, this is a time to be thinking of lost lives. All non-essential workers need to quarantine themselves to halt the spread of this virus and flatten the curve.
This is not the time to be rebellious or cynical, this is not the time to act out of fear but out of reason and consideration to your fellow humans.
I am not a medical professional but a concerned journalist. As of right now, restaurants are still open doing take-out only service. Gatherings of 25 people or less are still allowed. These are dangerous mistakes to be making in times of crisis and as citizens of Massachusetts, we need to push our governor, representatives, senators, and mayors to take much stronger and forceful measures to halt the spread of the novel Corona Virus.
For direct forms of action calling for a more total shut down of the state of Massachusetts, call your representatives, mayors, places of work, post on social media, and share this article.
