A while ago I witnessed the boundless presence of Sun Voyager as they performed at the Middle East Upstairs in Boston. Their music has evolved since their Lazy Daze tape (which is what I heard them play that night), with the band developing more of their own character since that release. Ghost Valley is a hypnotic track that will have you floating in a deep garage-y fuzz dream. The lyrics are obscure, and the grooves are slumberous. Delve into the psych trio’s eerie rock trance, steering clear of metal riffs.
