Taking me back to class 90s “lofi” pop like early/ b-side Beck or something. Also with whiffs of Brattleboro-style sophistipop & 60s folk weirdnik-ism. NICK LLOBET is from New York, Brooklyn even, his thing says. “Frenemy” is a song somewhat recently published on this man’s bandcamp. I can’t stop listening to it honestly. That 8-bit flavor synth that eventually shows its face is pretty perfect. The song is just great. Bent pop. Definitely pop though. Love it actually. LLOBET has other even more recent stuff on his bandcamp. I suggest listening to all of it. The sounds. The essence of underground pop is visible. The sounds are all really great here, and not actually lofi at all. Thank you Nick. Talk soon.
