Hipstory brings you BOSTON ANSWERING, a ‘cultural response manifested into a show’ to Boston Calling Music Festival that seeks to provide a more affordable alternative to local music.
Hosted by Dzidzor, featuring Cliff Notez, VQnC, Photocomfort, Forté, & Red Shaydez, this event will be held at The Strand Theater May 25th (the same night time as Boston Calling) and is definitely high up on the Hassle’s calendar for that weekend.
There are many reasons to SKIP Boston Calling and this is definitely one of them. And if you’re one of those that say things along the lines of ‘the Boston music scene is lame right now’ then show up to this show and support your local artists working on the ground. Your perceptions may change once you hear Tory Corless AKA VQnC sing (spoiler alert, she’s amazing).
To add to the synergy, there is a gallery opening that night in the Strand as well. Show up early and check out Inner City Circle, an intergenerational show of Boston-based artists
