It’s a good old fashioned photo exchange! Known for more than just science and technology-the MIT List Center for the Arts has a continued history of high profile exhibitions from internationally acclaimed artists. This month they welcome A Life in Pictures, an installation by KAMBUI OLUJIMI, a Brooklyn based multi-media artist.
Opening tonight, OLUJIMI invites gallery visitors to participate in a photo exchange, emulating digital forms of appropriation, fragmentation and recontextualization, by interjecting their own photos and lives into his. OLUJIMI will display over two thousand of his own photographs and invites visitors to trade one for one. Share your thoughts on your traded images and become part of a larger conversation. On view through February 23.
OLUJIMI will visit MIT to discuss his life and work
