Hello everyone! If you’ve been following our socials you may have noticed there has already been a july 4th playlist made but this one is the official launch of Michaels’ mix as a series. This playlist is a genre-fusing beach playlist with anything from Reggae to bedroom pop. I’ll give short descriptions of the songs below.
Dirty Harry – Sly Dunbar: A nice instrumental intro track from Sly giving those sandy vibes right away for the listener.
A Dash Of Sunshine – Calypso – Lord Tanamo: The lord is on this track to provide a cheerful tune to carry this playlist on.
Red Moon River – Healing Gems: This song combines the last 2 songs with some relaxing surfing tones that will continue onto this playlist in the next few songs.
Casablanca – LITTLEFOOT: Boston-based surf wave comes out on this playlist to remind us of our home and even the bays and basins associated with it.
Chuck Berry Holiday – Nobunny: Is it time for dancing? Well we’re dancing anyways with this modern blast from the past from Nashville.
Bad Thing – King Tuff: The party continues with bad thing that will remind you of the goons messing around in your typical high school movie.
Alone Again – The King Khan & The BBQ Show: Finishing off with the new-oldies section it’s time for a downer with King Khan and I hope you have tissues.
Nerve Damage! – Unknown Mortal Orchestra: Picking us back up comes Nerve Damage which while it won’t actually harm you you’ll for damn sure feel like it did.
Oxygn – Strange Lot: If you were to have all of your surroundings plugged into a reverb pedal on a beach you would have this song.
Punks In A Disco Bar – Beach Slang: Why another beach party? I don’t even know but this song is a blast to listen to nonetheless, plus their band has the word beach in it what could go wrong?
Adorned + Perfumed – Emily Ritz: This time calls for a late-night swim and with its aquatic feel this track will be a perfect component for that.
Don’t Have To – Ali McGuirk: A perfect track for gazing at the sunrise up to the horizon while the waves go up to your feet.
Well Wasted – Plastic Picnic: It’s now time to start the day off again with a joyous motivator to get off the right side of the bed.
Palm Trees, Wi-Fi and Dream Sushi – James Ferraro: For this closing track I feel resembles leaving the ocean side and going back to the city.
Thank you all for reading this far and now I will leave you the link to check this all out for yourself and I’ll see you next month.
