“This is our shared attempt to render the intangible, tangible. The futility of this attempt is not enough to dissuade us from our obsessive investigation. The hands reach to grasp onto something solid. Something to anchor itself. Nothing but a fleeting feeling. Gathering air is is the absurd endeavor to touch the ethereal manifestation of the psyche.”

Katherine Wildman and Henry Kunkel have been creating alongside each other for over eight years. Recently, they were awarded a three month long residency in Leipzig, Germany. Abroad, they witnessed each others work grow considerably. Given the subtle and obvious influences they have on each others work and the similar forces which drive them to create, it became necessary to exhibit their works together.
