Representatives from the local cyber-art cult at the SMFA are teaming up with their French counterparts from the Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR) tonight for a one day collaborative event happening simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic.

Artists from both institutions worked in pairs to generate works spanning the media landscape–from text to audio and film to just about everything in between–in order to better understand the internet as a location for global interactions of all levels.

Whether you’re checking in from Boston Cyberarts Gallery in Jamaica Plain or from Strasbourg, you’ll be able to experience the entire festival through social media and other communication technologies, including: Facebook, Skype, Ustream, etc. How cool is that? The future is here.
