Tonight, the Museum of Fine Arts welcomes a performance by internationally acclaimed Guatemalan artist Regina José Galindo. This performance forms part of the exhibition “Permission To Be Global/Prácticas Globales: Latin American Art” on view through July 13.
Reginas work explores the complex dynamic that exists around the continued interconnectedness of our global economies. Reginas work examines “ethical implications of social injustices and the unequal power relations that operate in our current society.”
Over the past year we have seen a steady increase in the frequency of performance art within the walls of the MFA. Heralded with the Performance Art Event Odd Spaces hosted last year, curated by Liz Munsell. Performance is finally here and we’re happy to see it. Fortunate for us, these events have also coincided with FREE AFTER FOUR WEDNESDAYS. Free admission after 4pm. This is not to be missed.
