When our friends Generoso and Lily recently left Boston for that other coast, they took their radio show with them. That radio show was called GENEROSO AND LILY’S BOVINE SKA & ROCKSTEADY and it was broadcast over 88.1 FM, WMBR out of Cambridge, MA for over 19 years, filling Greater Bostonia’s ears with all manner of classic Jamaican music: mento, rocksteady, ska, and reggae! Theirs was the best classic Jamaican music show we’ve ever heard, so it was with great sadness that we tried to accept the situation moving forward! And then! Our heroes announced that they would continue their show in podcast form, and we immediately asked if we could keep the Boston connection to them and their show alive by presenting the podcast through the Hassle website. And here we are. A wonderful marriage of island song and the Northeast people who love it, straight out of Los Angeles. What a world!!
