Boston Hassle presents

FRESH AIR – Keith Fullerton Whitman, Free Pizza, Tomboy, Sophie Dickinson, more @ Ringer Park

by

After being denied in its attempt to organize a similar, free, outdoor show last year, and after maneuvering through mountains of red tape and permit applications, Boston Hassle is proud to announce its first ever officially sanctioned outdoor show in a city park: Fresh Air: Ringer Park 14′.

Fresh Air: Ringer Park will feature two stages (one with acoustic-based performers, one with electric-based performers). Fresh Air is the first in a hopefully ongoing series of Boston Hassle organized FREE events organized in city parks in the Greater Boston area. As Boston Hassle continues to work with the city of Boston, and its surrounding cities, to organize more free outdoor events for public consumption, allow your mind to wander and dream of the possibilities.

It’ll be a heady mix of electric and acoustic acts of all varieties. Pump up punks FREE PIZZA play fun and fast with soulful songstress and fellow JPer IAN. Modular synth magician KEITH FULLERTON WHITMAN plugs you into the glitched groove mainframe, PANCHO THE KIDD + WES BUCKLEY folk strumming croons pour freely into mellow reflective pools, and TOMBOY pack female-positive message wrapped in a gut-punch punk package. That’s only a sample of this all-afternoon event, so bring water (no alcohol please – this ain’t no BYOB BBQ) and a upbeat attitude, and get ready to feel good.

Special thanks to the Jackson Mann Community Center, Joyce Linehan, Carol Downs, and Boston Parks & Recreation for helping to make this event possible. And special thanks to Allston DIY Fest for paving the way for events like this one!
