Flash Forward Boston 4/24–5/3

by

For its 10th installment, FLASH FORWARD BOSTON puts contemporary New England and international photography front and center for 10 days of talks, talent, and exhibitions throughout our fair city. Every day from April 24 through May 3, the festival holds events from Fort Point to Fenway, showcasing and uniting local and international, undergrad and high school, amateur and professional photographers alike. Check out our calendar to the left or online for the play-by-play (or theirs).

All this glory is brought to Boston (via Canada) by northern nonprofit the MAGENTA FOUNDATION, who work to connect the global photography community and create opportunities for said artists by way of rad events like this and their publication Magenta Magazine, as well as other ongoing programs. Their Flash Forward Incubator Program works with high school photography students to prepare them for the professional world, and then shows their work in a legit gallery (555 Gallery this year). Pret-tay cool.

Get involved and help make it all happen at www.FlashForwardFestival.com/volunteer. Working with the festival volunteers, composed primarily of art students and art professionals, is a fun way to get to know some of your local and international art people while discovering new talent.
