That elixir, the one you’ve been searching for. The earthen post-punk spiked with a little Brothers Quay serum and some Jan Švankmajer spice. EVIL SWORD have been chugging and huffing on that stuff for a while now down in Philly. They’re bringing some up here again to DAP on 11/2 to share. You have to get it LIVE. This visit is timed along with the release of a really quite dope sounding new long player called AGONY OF THE WART GOD  (Magic Pictures). You should have a listen for yourself like I did. The band is in top form, in the woods sonic-ly, creeping it up.

And they’ve served up a video for “Old Barn” the 7th track from the record. The bass is insistent and the creatures are sickly. Kate Ferencz’s flow is very on point. It’s pretty funny. Play this for some squares. It’s always a pleasant experience to hear kazoos employed properly. Always a pleasure to see and hear EVIL SWORD crawl out of their hole for a bit.
