As part of the SoWa First Friday, KABINETT will be holding an opening reception for their fall exhibition Fashion Foward on September 7th from 5 to 9 pm. Fashion Forward highlights both fine artists who commented on the fashion world to the drawings of famous fashion designers. The exhibition will feature paintings and drawings by Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Balmain, Hubert de Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, Christian Lacroix, Antonio Lopez, and Christian Dior. Alongside the illustrations will be iconic items of clothing, from one of Mr. Rogers’ neckties to an Andy Warhol “Souper” dress.
