The Brookline Arts Center is pleased to present “HUMAN GARDEN | Biosounds” by Lani Asuncion and “Here” by Narrae Kang, on view February 7-March 6, 2020. Join us for a reception Friday, February 7 from 6:00-8:00pm!

The “HUMAN GARDEN” series is a body of work that aims to bring a focus on how people in urban environments interact with their surrounding green spaces. Biosounds will enable visitors to listen to the sounds made from the plants in the gallery and create a collaborative rhythm by touching and interacting with them.

“Here” is a series of archival drawing projects of the Brookline Arts Center by artist Narrae Kang. By transcribing on the surface of glass with a mark-making method, she tries to reinvent how we feel the beauty in our daily lives and raises questions about the life of an immigrant woman artist.
