Danielle Freiman and Alexandra Jane Williams lead a double workshop of self-inquiry through manifesto writing and collage making.

Manifestos can be used to declare personal intentions, define a project or creative practice, and provide a framework for a big idea. Participants will have the opportunity to talk about personal and collective intentions for the present/future, as well as draft a Manifesto to keep and share.

Following the first half of the workshop focusing on the language we use to speak to ourselves, the collage portion will be an embodied approach of connecting to intuition through the processes of cutting, gluing, and composing shapes and lines.

The hope is that both of these methods will offer participants a framework for their intentions and practices, whether creative or every day.

About the Artists:

Danielle Freiman is an interdisciplinary artist and musician based in Somerville, MA. She currently curates Good Habits, a platform for zines, wearable pieces, and social gatherings. Triangle House is a pseudonym for Alexandra’s personal creative practice, which has primarily taken the form of bookbinding / printmaking / mixed paper media. In the past year, she’s turned her focus to collaborations, teaching, and personal growth through experimenting with new forms and processes.
