Saunter on over to the Middlesex Lounge tonight for a medley of bands and art brought to you as part of Boston Hassle and Eye Design’s Treat Yo Self series- a monthly event featuring some of the best art and music around. Brooklyn based Alex Bleeker and the Freaks– winding down the first stretch of their Northeast spring tour- serve up a slice of electric folk heaven and distilled country twang for your listening pleasure. They’re joined by CreaturoS, who’ll shake up the night with a heavy dose of psyched-out garage rock, while Emerald Comets keeps it grounded in the mellow with a soothing and harmonious helping of acoustic folk melodies. Fresh off a blustery winter, what could be more of a relief than such a slew of sunny summer sounds?

On display will be the playful yet contemplative art of local designer and illustrator Monkey Chow, alongside a selection of works by local mixed-media artist Katie Ann O’Brien, whose stuff you may have recently seen on display over at the Atomic Bean. The Hempest will also be there with a selection of sweet glass and gear for sale! Come on out and bring your friends too!
