BOSTON ART BOOK FAIR
Boston Center for the Arts and Bodega are bringing the city together for their second Boston Art Book Fair. This year will be held at the extremely cool Cyclorama in the South End. Boston loves books and art, it’s about time we celebrate it! Nearly one hundred artists/makers/creatives will be exhibiting their independent publications, zines and whatnot and partaking in all sorts of programming. This is now the second largest art book fair on the East Coast—you go little bean~
Saturday and Sunday are free, and the Friday preview party is ticketed. Check the website for tickets and more information about vendors (http://bostonartbookfair.com/)
The Hassle crew will be representing both the Compass and the Dorchester Art Project Zine Library. When you’re there, expect to see handmade books, photography, newspapers, comics, chapbooks, paintings and so much more. Acclaimed publications like MIT Press will be there all the way down to totally DIY and volunteer publishers like Boston Art Review. BABF really spans the whole spectrum. Individual artists, small publishers, and writers are involved. After party on Saturday down at DAP for the opening reception of Midnight Funk if you want to continue the inspirational evening.

How dare you think it is acceptable to deny admission to someone with a service animal. My daughter has full paperwork. It is a complete violation of ADA. And fou should be sued to act this way.
Hi Wendy,
I’m sorry to hear that this happened. I do not know the facts surrounding the situation so I can’t comment directly, but I don’t understand why a service animal wouldn’t be allowed into any building. WE the Boston Hassle/Brain Arts/ Boston Compass were affiliated with this event as one of the 100+ tabling presenters. We were not the organizers of the event, simply participants. Boston Center for the Arts and Bodega were the organizers of the event. Again, sorry to hear about this situation.
