We hope you’ve made it to the ICA to see William Kentridge’s installation The Refusal of Time, a concoction of sound, sculpture and film exploring the colonialist decree for universal time. The concept for the piece was actually sparked by a conversation between Kentridge and Peter Galison, professor of science history at Harvard University and (official title) Director of the Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments. Tonight you have the chance to hear the artist in conversation with Galison and another prominent local: Sebastian Smee, art critic for The Boston Globe. Be prepared for topics such as physics, Einstein’s theory of relativity and the concept of time.
