Tonight the SMFA students exhibiting in The Things We Carry – Objects in America will host a discussion pertaining to their selected works. This year’s show is comprised of five photographers whose images trace themes of personal identity, acceptance and inclusivity and the human’s inclination to collect objects within our contemporary society. The “Students Curate Students” program allows students to develop an idea for a show, curate their fellow peers’ art and exhibit it at the MFA.
Participating artists include:
Renée M. Browne (curator) | Lydia A. Harris (curator) | Defne Kirmizi | Valerie Sanders | Matthew Williams
