So this afternoon we at the Boston Hassle are throwing a lil’ festival in Cambridge in celebration of all things zine. This, you know. What you might NOT know is that we’re also teaming up with Allston Pudding to throw a killer after party at Great Scott featuring a tasty smattering of bands, chief among them PRETTY & NICE, playing what could very possibly be their last show ever.

PRETTY & NICE will be familiar to many of you; they’ve been kickin’ around the Boston scene for years now and their choppy, hooky, experimental pop sound has really developed into something potent and distinct over that time. They just dropped their (potentially) final release this past week – an EP titled “Infinitely Forever” that will be available at the show. But don’t worry, it’s not all tearful goodbyes; this is still a PRETTY & NICE set, complete with all the jubilance that entails. And what’s more, they’ll be joined by blissful New York shoegazers INFINITY GIRL and krautrock-meets-soul five-piece AVA LUNA – a band that truly fires on all cylinders and has to be seen to be believed. Local chums and former AVA LUNA tourmates KRILL – who’ve been showcasing some seriously powerful newer material at recent shows – round out the bill.

There are so many reasons to go to this show, I don’t even know where to begin. Where else can you see PRETTY & NICE bid us farewell with one last, triumphant set? Where better to discuss your personal Zinefest highlights than at the OFFICIAL afterparty? Exactly, see ya there.
