DC’s Disciples of Christ, featuring members of Coke Bust, Sick Fix, and Magrudergrind, among others, follow up last year’s Decomposition Fantasy 12” with the 10-track cassette 2015 Demo. While a grindcore release, the influence of ’90s powerviolence pushes the intensity of Disciples of Christ’s sound. Throw some Excruciating Terror into that mix, and you’ve got a rough idea of where DoC is coming from. This is muddy, lo-fo, and noisy grind. Dynamic songwriting, killer drums, and gnarly vocals really establish DoC as one of the top grindcore acts currently in the US. 2015 Demo is self-released and it might take you a while to track one down.
