Art Technology New England presents digital renaissance man Nick Montfort, speaking remixes. Digital art, culture, media, and literature has a tendency to be based on early materials- think about Cory Archangel’s Super Mario Clouds (which you need to check out if you haven’t) or even Christian Marclay’s The Clock (also cool).

Even if it feels like Girl Talk ruined remixing back in 2008, Montfort is the guy to bring it back. Smart enough to be an MIT professor (which he is), he’s written multiple academic books, curated successful art exhibitions, given many talks and lectures, written a ton of poetry, and of course, authored many remixes.
