NICE LINEUP of FINE SOUND-ART. Four solo demonstrations from locally based, detail-oriented players with distinctively different perspectives on musical free-ness. From dynamic minimalism to frantic embellishment, various stringed instruments, synthesizers, computers and their trainers will be in the spotlight tonight. The occasion, though, will not be cute and competitive like some fancy cat show, but rather more of a salon for freaks. The ensuing avantgarde onslaught will feature mysterious bleeper Jeff Cox (recently relocated from Atlanta), the maniacal spazz electronic catalyst of the Media_Rins collective TRNGS, provocative performance-artistic synth technician Evicshen, and massively venerated MASS noise veteran Wendy Eisenberg. Let us all be taking notes as well as instagram stories.
