Intimate record store gig anyone? We are very pleased to be doing occasional shows with our friends at Blue Bag Records down Mass Ave not far from Davis Sq. This one is in honor of Alex Pelchat, tape sound artist n guitarist from Montreal. Our paths have crossed on various tours with different projects and both good taste and improvised music are the constant themes so we have chosen two of our favorite out-there and free-form-friendly musicians to accompany him, Wendy Eisenberg and Audrey Harrer. Likely armed with a guitar or banjo Eisenberg will play compositions and improvisations that will challenge your parameters for what beautiful music is and will do so again later that even with her band Birthing Hips at Lilypad, in fact. And Harrer will bring our evening to a close with her heavenly vocal and harp treatment, pushing boundaries and pulling strings of both her harp and yer heart. This is a special night of experimental pop and folk and if that’s too elastic of a description just know that it is the nature of our collaboration here with Blue Bag, strange sounds woven together with space to breath.
