Variations: Music at Bromfield Gallery – Rachel Devorah

Variations: Music at Bromfield Gallery presents an evening of improvised music by Rachel Devorah, a Boston-based sonic artist and feminist technologist whose works engage the poetics and politics of their specific context.
Her work has been heard in throughout the U.S. as well as abroad in Canada, China, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Italy, the Netherlands, and Norway. She has published writings on art and social power in Emergency Index, Feminist Media Histories, and parallax, and she was plenary speaker at Feminist Theory and Music 2017.
She studied at the City University of New York, Mills College, and the University of Virginia, and she is currently the Adrian Piper Foundation Berlin Fellow. For more information please see http://racheldevorah.studio/
