Robots, science, and Rocky all come to a head in the Cold War continuation of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky saga. Here we see the muscle-clad hero taking on an international foe in the form of Ivan Drago (played by Dolph Lundgren), a steroid-ridden menace with Russian indifference coursing through his veins. This film has all the classic markings of an 80’s masterpiece and, aside from parts of Rocky III, feels the most like a huge turn in the franchise that has somehow reinvented itself with the surprise masterpiece, Creed (2015).
