Weird Folk Fest and Boston LGBTQIA Artists’ Alliance are thrilled to present Qarnival, a day-long festival featuring Queer performers, artists, and culture workers in the greater Boston area! The event will be held on Saturday, July 21st from 11am-6pm with activities at Make Shift Boston ! We are looking to have a day of intergenerational and interdisciplinary arts collaborations/activities to celebrate who we are as people, and facilitate conversation about how we can continue to be a diverse Queer presence in a city threatened by gentrification. In addition, we will have a limited number of tables for people to sell homemade crafts, merchandise, and the like. Unlike Boston Pride, we do not associate with banks or police. In addition, we will not have any corporate sponsors. This is a grassroots event organized by Queer people, for Queer people, no strings attached.

Your support for this campaign would fund compensation for artists, rental of sound equipment, professional photography and printing, and provide an event that is financially accessible to the most vulnerable members of our community.

This event will feature workshops and performances by:
Luke Paulino
Pampi
SublimeLuv
Quisol
Playback Theatre
Decibelists
Eziah Blake
Prateek
Sukriti
Petting Kazoo + Anaís Azul
Joey Science

There will also be crafts, painting, and cheesecake!

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at: [email protected] with any questions.

We are extremely grateful for your support,

Anaís Azul and Rafael Natan of Weird Folk Fest
