after several years spent paying their dues in the underground dc punk rock scene, priests broke through in 2017 with their debut record ‘nothing feels natural’ a collection of smart, sharp, and biting pieces of political commentary that perfectly captured the zeitgeist of the recent election. now some two years later and the band is preparing the release of its sophomore album ‘the seduction of kansas’ which, much like its predecessor, focuses on questions of national identity and tradition, using Kansas as a symbol for the heartland (and thus heart) of america.
