Under A Dismal Boston Skyline, on view at the Boston University Art Galleries, illustrates a lineage of Boston artists working both within and outside the mainstream. The show exhibits works by well-known Boston School artists working in the 1980’s alongside iconoclastic artists working outside Boston’s mainstream. Under A Dismal Boston Skyline underlines similarities in theme, medium, and approach of a wide range of Bostonian artists responding to their rapidly changing city.
