One of many fun events kicking off SOWA’s First Fridays, “Altered Matter X 2” is a show for the paintings of incredible abstract artists Brenda Cirioni and Iris Osterman. The reception for their work begins at 5pm at the Fountain Street Gallery and, in First Friday tradition, is free to the public!
Brenda Cirioni is an abstract painter who uses vivid colors and wild brushstrokes to create emotionally provocative paintings. Almost landscape-like in feeling, Cirioni’s abstracts are sure to take you on a ride through her mind and spirit. The multi-layered quality of the paintings demonstrate the artist’s creative process even in their final forms.
To view more of Cirioni’s work, stop by the Fountain Street Gallery this Friday and make sure to check out her website: https://brendacirioniart.com/home.html
Also featured in this opening is artist Iris Osterman. Laced with elements of fantasy and whimsy, Osterman’s landscapes excite the imagination and the senses. The abstracted nature scenes that Osterman focuses her work around are both jarring and simultaneously beautiful, and reflect an experience of natural outside of physicality.
