The Real Kool Keith aka Dr.Octagon aka Dr. Dooom aka BLACK ELVIS aka DR ULTRA aka CRAZY LOU aka POPPA LARGE aka KEITH KORG aka PLATINUM RICH aka an infinity of kool and unusual emanating from one cosmic source… Kool Keith! This hip hop legend and cult of personality has prolifically created some the most groundbreaking game-changing hip hop ever from his days leading the Ultramagnetic MC’s in the 1980s all the way to the present deep into his sci-fi future!

Escape-Ism – which is of course the critically-acclaimed new solo project of thee fabulous Ian F Svenonius! Universally regarded as one of the most distinctive voices and captivating entertainers in contemporary art and music, Svenonius is known for fronting essential bands like The Make-Up, Nation of Ulysses, Chain and the Gang, Weird War, Scene Creamers, XYZ, and Cupid Car Club, authoring subterranean classic literature like “The Psychic Soviet,” “Supernatural Strategies for Making a Rock’n’Roll Group,” and “Censorship Now,” hosting Vice TV’s “Soft Focus,” participating in the 2017 Whitney Biennial, directing of the film “What Is A Group?,” and so much more.

Kool Keith and Ian Svenonius, two legends from two worlds brought together under one roof at a big dance party! Two of the most interesting musical entities in the cosmos join forces to make a party you won’t ever forget! And rounding out the bill in the Main Hall, as usual the night concludes with hours of dancing to the 45rpm vinyl magic of NYC’s soul proprietor Jonathan Toubin / New York Night Train accompanied by thee fabulous NY Night Train Shadow Dancers Danise Prescott and Erin Sheehy plus the stunning live 16mm visuals of Spencer Bewley! The party is cut in half by the Midnight Metropolis Vintage $100 Dance Contest with DJ Ian F Svenonius, MC Steve Myers of The Afghan Whigs and a distinguished cast of judges TBA!

And in Zone One at Elsewhere the night kicks off with Brooklyn sonic superfriends Chip On, Lyla Vander, and Ojay San Felipe aka Chorizo followed by downtown heroes led by A.R.E. Weapons force of nature / heartthrob Matthew Mcauley, T.V. Baby! Finally we are thrilled to announce that international hip hop hero Edan has been added to the mix to add the sublime eclecticism of his world-famous Beauty and the Beat to the dance floor ’til the wee wee hours!
