NEW IKEBANA AT PRACTICE SPACE
Tue, Nov 19 2019 - Mon, Nov 25 2019

“Now, a generation of young artists are reinterpreting ikebana based on the practice’s core principles, rather than its traditional mores. In doing so, they are making us reconsider an old art form — and what it has to say about nature.”
-The Rise of Modern Ikebana
From 11/19 t0 11/25, Helen Singh-Miller’s MassArt students will be showing their interpretations of Ikebana, or “making flowers alive,” the ancient Japanese practice of flower arrangement. Visit Practice Space in Inman to learn more about the students, their pieces, and how they interpret space and nature through this revitalized discipline.
